Effective: 18 October 2026 · App: Globeling: Learn Together (Android, package com.plycoder.globeling) · Developer contact: tulx.app@gmail.com

Globeling is a learning app for families: children from age 4, teens and adults. We, the developer, receive no personal information from the app. This policy explains in plain words what stays on the device and what the Google services inside the app collect.

1. What we collect

Nothing reaches us. There are no accounts and no sign-in. We run no server for app data, the app sends us no personal or non-personal information, and we use no analytics or crash-reporting services of our own.

2. What stays on the device

Explorer nicknames, avatars, age modes, missions, journal rewards, daily quests, trophies, play time and settings are saved only on the device. Real names are never needed. Uninstalling the app or using “Delete profile” / “Delete all data” in the Grown-ups area removes them (see Delete data).

3. Ads (free version)

The free version shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK), an ads SDK that takes part in Google Play’s Families programme. Ads appear only at a natural break, after a mission ends and the learner taps Continue: at most once every three missions, at least four minutes apart, never in the first minutes after the app starts and never during a lesson or challenge.

Every ad request is marked as directed to children and under the age of consent, and is limited to content rated G. Ads are therefore contextual, not personalised: there is no interest-based advertising and no remarketing. The app removes Android’s Advertising ID permission, so the Advertising ID is not collected.

To show, count and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:

DataPurpose
IP address (used to estimate general location)Advertising, fraud prevention
App interactions such as app launches, taps and ad viewsAdvertising, analytics
Diagnostics about app and SDK performanceAnalytics
App set ID (not the Advertising ID)Advertising, fraud prevention

The data is encrypted in transit. See Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4. “Remove ads” purchase

A one-time purchase (US$1.25) in the parent-gated Grown-ups area turns ads off. Google Play handles the payment; we never see card or payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether your Google Play account owns the purchase and stores a yes/no flag on the device, so ads stay off after reinstalling or on another device with the same account.

5. Language packs and translation

English is built in. Other languages need a one-time download that a grown-up approves, over Wi-Fi. Translation runs on the device with Google ML Kit; lesson text and nicknames are not sent to a cloud translation service. Google ML Kit may collect device and app information, performance and diagnostic data, the chosen languages and an installation identifier for its own diagnostics (ML Kit data disclosure). The Nepali model (SMaLL-100) downloads about 615 MB from Hugging Face over HTTPS; the file host receives normal request information such as the IP address. Translations are produced by machines and may contain errors.

6. Permissions

The app uses internet and network state (language packs and ads) and Google Play billing (the “Remove ads” purchase). It never asks for the microphone, camera, contacts, location or files.

7. Children

The app is designed for families and follows Google Play’s Families policy. Children can use it without giving any personal information. Settings, downloads, the purchase and Grown-up mode are behind a parent gate. If you believe a child’s information was collected in a way that breaks this policy, contact us and we will help.

8. Your choices and deletion

You can delete profiles and all progress in the app at any time, and remove everything by uninstalling. Google keeps ad and SDK data under its own policies; see Delete data for the steps and links.

9. Security

Learning data never leaves the device. Downloads and Google SDK traffic use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and the Nepali model files are checked against fixed checksums before use.

10. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
